Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter

Okay, there’s a new movie coming out this summer called “Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter” (no, that’s seriously what it’s called). My husband is, of course, ecstatic about this fun, historic tale and directed me to watch the trailer on IMDB.com. Now, I’m aware that the movie is about Abraham Lincoln hunting vampires (yeah, the title is pretty spot on) and so I shouldn’t be expecting any type of historical accuracy, but here is the plot synopsis verbatim from IMDB.com: “Abraham Lincoln, the 18th President of the United States, discovers vampires are planning to take over the United States. He makes it his mission to eliminate them.”

Seriously? Seriously? No one making a movie about one of our greatest presidents thought to flip open their
fifth grade history book and see which number he was? No one!? If you read the plot synopsis and thought, “What’s the problem? I don’t get it?” then get off my blog. No, for real. Get off now.

  1. So, it's been brought to my attention, that IMDB has since corrected their error, but it pains me that of the hundreds of comments made about this movie, only four people seemed to notice the inaccuracy. Shame on you Americans, shame on you.
